Who develops Pantano Project
Incanti & Memorie is a family society, with the components of the Bisazza, Cannuli and Timpanelli families joined in a project of acquisition, restoration and fruition of Pantano village.

The society began its imprenditorial activity in 1997 and formalized it in 2001 for will of Maria Cannuli, who combined the love for her native place and the wish to enhance its identity and to bring it back to life.
Maria Cannuli and Incanti & Memorie‘s goal is to promote a model of ecologically sustainable development, ensuring a tourist and economic value for the local environmental and cultural heritages, and giving them back their dignity of productive goods.
The drawing up of a marketing plan with a tourist purpose aiming at the exploitation and promotion of the village’s resources points at various interventions both theoretical and practical. This action is being developed in agreement with the public and private actors who take part in the project.
Together with the marketing plan, the investments plan is at present focusing on the purchasing of all the buildings which compose the village (about forty buildings), on the study of the main infrastructures and on the restoration of the village’s church which is the heart of all the cultural and productive activities.

Comune di Rometta
The corporation has always showed its interest in the restoration of smaller towns and particularly in the village of Pantano, which was object of the first Ethical Protocol ever realized in Sicily.
The Protocol was presented and approved on the Communal Meeting of January 26th, 2006, and it established the guidelines to be applied for the restoration of Pantano and of all others settlements of the area presenting similar characteristics.
Thanks to the partnership subscribed by the Commune with basilicata University of Studies in ATI with CSEA S.c.p.a., APOF and L.I.S.I.D.E.A., has been object of study in the project RecPolis – Architectures for the Ecologic Redevelopment of the Nature - City in the Shape of a New Management in Cities and Village’s Network.
Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria
The Structural Restoration and Recovery of the Historic Building course, held by Prof. Arch. Vittorio Ceradini in the graduation course “History and Preservation of the Architect and Environmental Heritage”, of the Architecture Faculty of the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria, helped students to deepen their knowledge on the technical, building and structural analysis of the site’s buildings through a four-days-training which took place in Pantano on May 2005.
The experience aimed at bringing the students nearer to the actual problems of drawing up restoration projects and to enriching and completing the studies in progress for the village’s preservation.
Osservatorio per lo Sviluppo Economico Turistico del Tirreno
The association backs up pilot strategies with territorial and integrated characteristics, based on a bottom-up approach and on a horizontal partnership, with the following goals:
- Promoting new development dynamics. - Innovative developing of enterprises related to rural areas' functions. - Promoting the environmental, historical and cultural heritages, as well as the traditions and the territory’s typical products in the tourist sphere.
Associazione culturale Donne del Sud
The association promotes all the ancient feminine activities through demonstrative trainings about textile arts, especially about the working of linen and silk, using original pedal driven 1600 looms.
Club Unesco
The Club was established in the village of Pantano on July the 2nd, 2004, and its action aims in particular at the protection, restoration and amelioration of the cultural and environmental heritages of the village.
